World Record for Longest Concert

The Guinness Book of World Records has just awarded café owner AJ O’Neil with the official title and certificate for the longest nonstop music concert in history. The event itself lasted 288 hours/12 days at the café located in Ferndale, Oakland County. The concert featured some 300 performers, and eclectic sort of musicians from keyboard players to violinists from rock bands to classical musicians.

O’Neil received an e-mail with a notification from the Guiness book of world records. Although this is an unofficial announcement the official certificate will be sent to him shortly.

O’Neil describes concert as an opportunity to to help the big three auto makers in Detroit to sell new cars by pledging people to relinquish their old cars for new ones.
