With the introduction of the Korg SP250, this keyboard lineup has achieved new levels of piano realism in the portable digital piano class.
It is ideal for pianists looking for quality piano sound and feel, combined with the practicality of a lightweight, portable digital instrument.
The 88 key keyboard features Korg’s new Real Weighted Hammer Action III technology which emulates the feel of a grand piano. It also features Key Touch Control incorporating three touch curves enabling the perfect touch sensitivity to be reached for any playing style.
The variety of high quality sounds offered by the Korg SP-250 includes various authentic piano samples such as a concert grand, a vintage electric grand and a honky-tonk piano.
Church and jazz organs, percussion, guitar, strings, and choir sounds are just a few more examples.
Two of the sounds can be played concurrently and there are 30 demo songs to showcase the various sounds and styles.
This Korg keyboard piano is a stylish instrument with a sleek black design highlighted with metal and wood-grain.
It features an intuitive control panel with 19 LED indicators. Weighing only 42 pounds despite its many functions, it is a highly portable digital piano that can be easily removed from its stand when necessary.

As a former church organ player at the Free Evangelical church of Patras, Greece, who now lives in Saint Louis, MO, the Korg SP-250 would be the keyboard of my choice. The church-sound would be ideal for playing the “Doxology” or “What A Friend We Have In Jesus” in a Sunday morning. I could even turn it into jazz at some point and make the standing church audience rock!
