Korg Mixer Review

Certainly Korg mixer aren’t as well-known as let’s say some of the more established and renowned brands but does produce a few notable exceptions.
Korg has been around since the dawning of the electronic music age and is jumping into the foray of the mixer world with a couple of models.
If you’re a DJ and you may seriously want to consider Korg’s Zero4 and Zero8 mixer.
First introduced at an NAMM 2007 the Zero4 and Zero8 had lots of DJs salivating…waiting to just to get their hands on one of these puppies.
Some of the features found include:
1. lots of flashing lights to feed information to you about what’s going on.
2. the mixer like it has been constructed from spare parts around the shop
3. the layout of the phasers is well designed and organized with the channel fader
These mixers include FireWire and MIDI components housed in a very compact package.
There seems to be a bit of the problem with the cross faders where they jut close to the edge of a sharp metal faceplate.
A pair of knobs for the EQ and other effects sits just above the the faders that are colorized for clarity.
The overall finish leads one to wonder how these mixers were put together. Were they an afterthought of the engineering and manufacturing process? These units don’t have a solid feel to them and they don’t appear to be aesthetically appealing. Of course this is only a matter of subjective opinion.
From a performance perspective they do work remarkably well.
Overall I would say the these are not bad units but I would rate them as fair for the price.
