Piano at the Louvre in Paris

piano-louvre

Last week I was in Paris on business and decided to stop at the Louvre, famous for its antiquities and paintings including the painting of Mona Lisa. The Louvre was a wonderful place to visit but upon leaving I discovered another building that appeared to be a shopping plaza. I was amazed to find about 50 shops that had for sale antiquities that included this wonderfully ornate piano. I snapped a picture as I had never seen such a beautiful site.

I didn’t know the price of this piano but based on some of the other items in various shops such as a sword from a distant war, was priced at $2,000 euros. I would guess that the piano itself would be worth in the $500,000 euros range.
