Yamaha YDPS31 Arius Keyboard

Today we’re going to talk about the Yamaha Arius YDPS31 88-key graded hammer piano. On first inspection I noticed that it uses a very small footprint and is designed as a practice piano for someone with llimited space.
One of the features that I like about this keyboard that it has a key cover that folds down when the keyboard is not in use. The YDPS31 is really a compact piano but that does not mean small in terms of quality. Yamaha is famous for producing high quality keyboards the YDPS31 Arius is no exception.
The YDPS31 also uses Yamaha’s proprietary and sophisticated advance wave memory, most commonly referred to AWM synthesis which produces excellent stereo sampling of all of the onboard instrument sounds.
Sample sounds are recorded at three different levels of loudness which coincide with the how hard someone strikes the piano keys. Each of these variations in loudness is represented by stereo recordings of sampled acoustic grand pianos.
The piano comes with 64 notes of polyphony and six voice selection. The effects section of the YDPS31 is somewhat limited as it only has four types of reverbs and that is basically all in terms of effects processing.t
The YDPS31 comes complete with 50 songs arranged for the piano and 6 voice songs.
Inputs on the keyboard include MIDI in and out and 2-1/4 inch stereo phone jacks, damper pedals for sostenuto and soft-pedal. Both pedals feature half pedaling effects which allow you to control the degree of pedal effects.
The keyboard comes complete with the owners manual and operations guide.
